My newest acquisition....

Wow. Just picked up this album. Scored a nice used copy at the mall for eight bucks!! I am about 98% complete on my pre-recorded Sammy music collection, and am now moving onto the live stuff. THIS....is ridiculous awesome, for anyone who doesn't already know. I was listening to the disc 1 tracks on my MP3 at work this morning, holy crap. It was all I could do to stay in my chair, talk about energy. "Jugdement Day"....holy shit, Sammy's voice could wake the damn dead. I am rockin' out to disc 2 as we speak. Kinda of odd hearing him sing some of the Roth stuff, but he for sure does it justice. I can't wait to get all the live DVDs, including this one, as soon as my fundage will allow. If you don't have this set, you NEED to get it. If you have it, you NEED to go play it again...♪♫RIGHT NOW!!!♪♫

Peace!!

Stef♥

Mink, I believe the industry term for that is "continuity" - LOL!!

Well I'm gettin' 'em ALL as soon as I can that's for sure!!

Eagles Fly on the Right Here Right Now video is my favorite version of that song. Really cool!
As videos go, I like Live Without a Net better. Only because it's all the same show, and the energy they had during the 5150 tour is unbelievable. The RHRN video splices back and forth between the two nights during the songs. I find it distracting and it removes the illusion of a single concert. That's just my opinion. I love the songs and the concert does sound great. Besides Eagles Fly, Finish What You Started and Runaround are a couple of my favorites on there.

oh yes ALL the DVDs are at the top of my Sammy stuff wish list (long list!!).

Hey Mike...I was listening to Eddie's solo last night, next thing I know, I turn around and the door to my computer room here is shut!! I went out and asked my husband "Sorry, did Eddie get too loud for ya??" LOL!!

The DVD is awesome! It makes me miss Van Hagar very much. Live without a net is great too! I missed seeing Van Halen live a lot until Chickenfoot came around and eased the pain!!!

All I have to say is I saw them on this tour several times and they were awesome, I love this album too. I know even live they had the keyboards pre-recorded when they played jump which I could care less you knew it was Eddie playing keyboards I think that was the case for Right Now when they played that as well. I love "Panama" and "You Really Got Me know" with Cabo Wabo mixed in. And Judgement Day is one of my favorite VH tunes with Sammy I love the harder stuff anyway. And whether you like Eddie or not listening to his solo on this album still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Peace.

You are right about this album sounding great Stef, however there has been a lot of speculation that this album wasn't live at all. There are many bands that go into the studio and record like they are playing live and add croud noise after. This particular album is one of the more talked about ones along with Kiss Alive, where this has happened. It is mainly done to be able to overdub mistakes. I didn't mean to say this to take away from the experience but it happens. I still love the album though and agree with you!!
