Sammy introduces his new movie in Toronto

This footage was shot at Sammy's showing of his new movie, "Go There Once, Be There Twice."
The event took place in Toronto, Canada at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on March 11, 2011. The crowd was small, only about 50 in attendance. Sammy said a few words then took a seat with his wife and watched the movie.
The doc itself is fantastic, telling the story of Cabo and at the same time, the evolution of the Red Rocker. Backed to a wicked soundtrack, this movie made me feel like I've already been to Cabo already. Even though I never have. I've only lived it through pictures and bootlegs.

The movie has drama and funny moments as well. During the movie, Sammy says original owners, Van Halen wanted out and nothing to do with Cabo, after it lost a lot of money. Then Michael Anthony comes into the movie and says, "not all the Van Halen band!" This moment in the film caused the audience cheer and applaud in the theatre. Near the end it shows a montage of all the performers that have rocked on the Cabo stage, then there is Chad Smith, who has one of the funniest scenes in the film. It doesn't matter if you're a Sammy fan or not, if you love rock and roll, you will love this documentary.

Someday, I will Lay face down in Cabo, kissing the sand.

Casey Corbin.
