Hank, I finally scored one . Put it up on all sammy fan base sites & submitted video to this site . Mine was a little scratched up and I had to basically adopt it and restore it… Which means it’s 80% original paint 65% -70%original parts or reissued original parts. And the remaining 30% is custom preference like red and black tires red and black cell phone holder on the handlebars. I would like to interview you for a piece I’m doing please hit me up. I've lost my chance at not one but 2, red rocker bike's.
1st one..i just didn't have the coin for it in 2004 with four young kids.
2nd one...tech difficulties on my cell phone, someone beat me to the bid as the seller was going to take it down for me. (at least went to a red head)

If I recall, Gary Fisher said he made 244 identical Red Rocker Bicycles for Sammy .... red with all black Sun Tour components. Definitely a collectible worth having!

It's his Pride and Joy! Has it proudly displayed like a mueseum artifact. But it super rare.. PLUS ..it's a SAMMY Bike! SAMMY RULES!

Thank you. Yes, i have a ton of pictures of the bike. I have owned it since 1986 when I purchased it from Sausalito Cyclery, the shop he owned back then. He was blown away, said he has not seen one in 20 years. He only made 150 of them. Def worth the ride up there! My wife thought I was NUTS...HAHA. No I did not give it to him, just presented it back to him for viewing...was really happy that he got so excited. Made my week.
