FYI: "Los Cabos" is the municipality at the tip of Baja, not a town! "Los Cabos" is the name of an area in southern Baja. You do not want to stay in San Jose del Cabo, which is the town you fly into because it's about a 35 to 45 minute drive to Cabo San Lucas. I also recommend that you not stay in the area that is called the "Corridor" which is the area of resorts between San Jose & Cabo! If you stay out on the Corridor you will need a rental car or take taixs & buses to Cabo which will be very expensive! There are several great places to stay right in the town of Cabo San Lucas! I personally recommend the Marina Fiesta which is half way between down town & the beach!
Good luck,
Doug aka "Cabo Wabo Guy"
Be sure to stay in Cabo San Lucas Not Los Cabos it is to far from Cabo Cantina. We stayed at RIU Palace last year and have already booked there for this year!! Nice resort and All Inclusive so you always have enough to eat and Drink!!!
2 years ago we stayed at the Riu which is about 2-3 miles from town it was pretty nice, it's all inclusive but the beach is not a swimming beach, and the beach is crushed shell not sand. The crushed shell may have been from the storms they were having that year don't know for sure. But if you wanted to you could walk to town by the beach. It's only around $10.00 for a cab ride to town. Food was fairly decent not bad. I would recommend the hotel. We are going to stay there again this year or the Riu Palace which is next door.

Hey Ernie! How you doing? Coming down for the Bash this year? The Marina Fiesta has totally re-modeled everything! The rooms are sweet!
