Newbie To Cabo

June 17, 2014 by rnh5150

I was hoping some of the veterans attached to this blog could shed some light on where to stay during the shows in October 2014 .. I'm heading on this adventure by myself and would like to meet as many cool people as I can ... any insight would be appreciated...

Hey RTG2010. Not sure what confirmation you think you got, but it isn't for tickets yet. All you got was a confirmation that you successfully registered. The drawing doesn't happen until early July.

I agree with Steve...depends on what you want to do on downtime. We have stayed at Mar de Cortez several times, which is right behind Cabo Wabo, love the location. It is a very simple hotel but has a great location to downtown. We stayed there during the birthday bash one year and there is a large group of "red" fans that know how to have a good time. I would imagine that many resorts have a large group of hagar fans during that week. Whatever you choose, you will have a great time and probably find fellow rockers that will take you in and show you a good time. We have also stayed at Villa del Palmar and Bahia...both great places but a little further walk from downtown. I would and will stay at them again in the future though. Bahia is right on the beach but not sure how many fanatics stay in these during b-day bash week. Wish we were going this year!!

Depends on what you want to do in your down time. If you want to walk around town and check out the bars and restaurants, then stay somewhere within walking distance of town. If you just like to chill by the pool and would only be coming into town for the show, then any resort on the corridor will do. Personally, I like to stay close to town but dont do an all inclusive because there are so many restaurants and experiences to get out and make a part of your vacation. We normally stay at a Pueblo Bonito but there are many options. There is something for every budget.
