Painting the library RED!
Ok. There's no turning back now. My life's work is about to hit the shelves. I've poured my heart and soul into RED and I'm ready to share it with the world. As of 3/15 my full story will be told - nothing held back.
I'm jazzed about heading out to see all of you at the book signings. My whirlwind promotional tour starts this week in Canada at Canadian Music Week where I'll be speaking as well as having a special showing of my new film 'Go there Once Be There Twice'. Who's planning on joining me at CMW?
Then I go straight into the bi-coastal book signing events. We're starting in Canada then were going to hit New York, St. Louis, Southern California and then finishing up in the Bay Area. Check out the book signing dates to see the most up-to-date list and I hope you all can can make one of those events. Also, don't forget to catch my interviews on Howard Stern, Good Morning America, Eddie Trunk Live Show and Fox & Friends.
Lastly, I just wanted to say thanks so much to all of you Redheads. My autobiography wouldn't have been much without you.

COULDNT FIND YOUR BOOK ANYWHERE IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA AND THEN MY WIFE FINALLY HUNTED DOWN A COPY AT THE BORDERS IN RITTENHOUSE SQUARE IN PHILADELPHIA. GOT HOME WITH IT AND I FIGURED I WOULD READ A COUPLE OF CHAPTERS....AND BEFORE I KNEW IT....IT WAS MIDNIGHT AND I WAS FINISHED THE BOOK IN ONE EVENING. MUCH RESPECT SAMMY....YOU TRULY DESERVE ALL THE SUCCESS THAT YOU HAVE EARNED. THERE ARE VERY FEW ENTERTAINERS OUT THERE THAT HAVE BEEN THROUGH WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH AND STILL REMAIN A CLASS ACT AND FAITHFUL TO YOUR FANS. IS IT ANY WONDER THEY REMAIN AS FAITHFUL TO YOU..... AS RESPECT IS A MUTUAL THING. SOMETHING YOU HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN. SUCH A THING IS VERY RARE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY TODAY. Just read entire book in 6 hours. Sammy's never let me down. From waving hello in a hotel hallway when I was 8 yrs old to present day when many heroes have fallen to the wayside. Sammy stands alone. Thank you.

Man, when I first heard you were writing the book with Mr. Selvin I was at the concert when you gave the #..lol...so me and my girlfriend at the time called him and I don't know why...but when we would call after the first message I left..he would call back...the first message I left him was that this is Mr. Flair with Colorful used condoms oh yeah as in (Rick Flair) back then that was the prank name to use..haha!! anyways my girlfriend left half of the message and we said we very concerned because his used condoms may have been shipped to a different address...lol..and we were very concerned...man he called back like 5 times..pissed off..but funny..I actually think he was having fun with this one. Anyway, ask about that one. Oh, just want to say thank you for all of the other things that you do..like blessings in a backpack and everthing else! Way to give back Im doing the same!

Just finished the book today after reading an excerpt in RS. I Was one of those crazy Texas fans that couldn't get enough of your shows. Went to three in the late 70's early 80's in Odessa, Texas. Snuck in two of them lol. In my defense the first one was sold out and we bum rushed a side door to get in hehe. The second, my best bud sold my damn ticket as I got to the venue. Could have kicked his ass. So I snuck in again! Enough of the nostalgia. Thanks for a great read. Been to the Cantina in Cabo a few days before 911. Have to say the place was rocking! Funny thing is once you joined the Van Halens I got kinda disenchanted, never was a huge fan, even when I lived in California I thought their music lacked heart. I will say when I heard "Right Now" it changed my opinion enough to give the music a shot. Anyways thanks for the great music through the years and being such a cool dude. Feel Like I grew up with your music and am looking forward to enjoying some of the music I missed. Peace!
BTW! I went out today and bought A Bottle of "Cabo Wabo" even though I haven't had tequilla in almost 30 years hehe. Look forward to drinking it with my buds. We'll toast to the 'Red Rocker' no doubt! Peace out!

I read your book in one go, Sammy. It is simply terrific. I have to say that I loved you before for the joy and peace your voice brings to me, but now I love you for the man that you shared with us all as well. You are an inspiration and I am moved by your tenacity, drive and honesty. Revealing your spirituality and respect for numerology and psychics blew me away...a common thread for many of us Redheads I'm sure. Thank you for sharing those precious pieces of yourself with all of us who love you!

We got the book this weekend at Canadian Music Week and Sammy signed it on Saturday after his CMW interview. (which was great)
I got home Saturday night and read a few chapters. I completed reading the book on Sunday - I couldn't put it down. This is from a guy who never reads (I do not like like to read books of any kind)and as I said I couldn't put it down until I completed it. Thanks for the ride Sammy it was a great book, thanks for sharing your life with us.

Now I'm second guessing pre-ordering the book online because I can't wait to read it! Even though most of us REDHEADS can piece together most of Sammy's history,having the man himself tell it in his own words is going to be an unbelievable treat.

I would have NO LIFE without YOU. Seriously. Tell those people who say I need to 'get a life', thanks, but I am quite happy with the one I have and wouldn't have changed one damn thing about the way it's all gone down.
Being a Redhead had been AN HONOR and I have made life-long friendships because of it and in more ways than one I owe my whole LIFE to you Sammy. There were times, I have told you in many a private letter, that I was on the verge of ending it all and I didn't because something you said in a song pulled me back from the edge. Again and again, times in my life I have had trials and troubles and there you were, in song, lifting my Spirits and giving me a reason to try to smile again.
Some people ask me, "Is this ALL you ever do or think about?" And I answer with a resounding "YES!" My rewards have come tenfold from being involved with all these great people. I can't wait to read this book and I am so proud of you Sammy for telling it like it is, no holds barred, so that eveyone gets to see what your fans already know. You're the BEST, my dear Sammy! Now and always... We love you. ♥

I so wish I could be there! I was going to try to bring my 7 year old son up to New York for a book signing, but something came up at work, and it isn't going to happen=(
