I actually saw the show @ Peoria Civic Center in 1983 or 1984. Dokken opened for Sammy. A few years before, Sammy was advertized to headline w/ ZZ Top @ the Peoria Civic Center. When we arrived at the show, the actual line up was ZZ Top and J Giles. People were pissed! Then @ the show in 1983/84, before even playing a note, Sammy just walked on stage and told the crowd he had learned he was billed to play w/ ZZ Top a few yrs earlier. He says, "I had no fucking idea about that show. I would be pissed off MF's too. But it ain't your fault and tonite, i am gonna make it up to you!". Sammy played for almost 3 1/2 hrs and rocked our asses off! to this day, that is greatest concert I have ever seen!!!!!!

Thanks Sammy for having respect for the fans that nite! I have been a loyal fan since i was 7yrs old. And still to this day, there ain't Rocker out there that even comes close to The RED ROCKER!!!!!
